Our client was challenged by a decentralized payments model and the resulting lack of operational standardization, governance, control, and reporting capabilities.  Their goal was to transition to a centralized, standardized global model with new processes, automated tools, data-driven reporting, and a new centralized tiered support team structure to deliver greater financial control and governance and more efficient business operations.

Affirma provided a fully outsourced Project Management Service consisting of a Senior PMO lead with Project Managers and Project Analysts to support this complex and large-scale global transformation project over a 1.5-year period.

What We Did

We embedded a Senior Project Manager/ PMO Lead and a team of PMs and Analysts working in partnership with our Client and their wider team of Stakeholders.

From Project inception, we developed the Project Charter, Governance model, Project ROB/Rhythm for meetings and updates, a Portfolio of Project plans, and Frameworks for Project Communications & Readiness.  Through Project Planning, Design, and Building we managed a portfolio of complex process and tools projects and developed all Project Executive Sponsors, Stakeholder updates, and ongoing Project messaging and communications.  We led the portfolio of projects through all Exec sponsors, Stakeholders, and Divisional tollgates & milestones.

We put in place rigorous workstream tracking & ongoing reporting with Get to Green methodologies to maintain on-track project delivery.

We developed a new suite of tools to support the centralized program and managed each from inception to launch.  We designed, developed, and delivered all readiness required to support the complex change management across multiple organizations encompassing over 1000 employees & vendors.

We successfully transitioned the Project into Run Program management on time and within budget.  We were commended by our client as ‘pivotal to the success of our transformational change project’.

Overall Results

We created a strong team within the Clients Incubation organization and operated at a consistently high-performance level on all key aspects of this complex and high-profile initiative from design, and development to delivery.

We were integral in tracking project progress through all milestones and tollgates on time and within budget.  We were instrumental in designing and launching new processes and tools to support the global centralized program.

We were pivotal in supporting our clients to achieve their business goals to improve operational efficiency and increase control and governance over large business investments.

Due to the ongoing success of the Affirma engagement, the full PMO team were transitioned onto a series of new Global Change projects for a further 1.5 years.
