Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) needed a HIPAA compliant vendor with robust data analytics and Power BI experience that could take raw data from the County’s ambulance contractors, extract that data and reconcile it ensuring a high level of accuracy. The “clean” data would then be used to generate invoices to send to the contracted ambulance providers. Data accuracy was critical as this data is used in public-facing Power BI reports. OCHCA was backlogged on months of data reconciliation, preventing up to date invoicing for their ambulance contractors and accurate reporting in Power BI. OCHCA’s previous data analyst created a process using Knime that established a pathway by which the data was submitted into Excel and chose to leverage Affirma to replicate this process in a way that is faster, cleaner, and more efficient while maintaining data accuracy.

What We Did & Results

Affirma’s skilled data analyst successfully created an efficient and highly accurate solution for OCHCA that cleans and reconciles months of backlogged data to update Power BI reports and create invoices for the county’s contracted ambulance providers. Our data analyst identified all known and unknown pain points in OCHCA’s current reporting environment and designed solutions based on these needs.
