Client Need

Tulalip was using on-premise SharePoint 2013 and wanted to upgrade to SharePoint 2016.  There are several departments and not many users were utilizing SharePoint effectively in their job functions.  Not only did they want a newer, modernized platform, they also wanted to increase user adoption.

What We Did

We met with the Tulalip team to gather requirements and develop a department site template to be used with the various department sites that include Announcements, About Us, Documents in a tabbed format, and FAQs.  We used ShortPoint to apply formatting, and we used ShareGate for migrating the various document libraries.  We met with each of their department site owners to gather feedback and apply changes that they wanted on their individual sites.  This increased their buy-in and hopefully, the sites will be utilized more by each of the departments.

We also did some Change Management work where we created an infographic, FAQs, and a Training page for the Site Admins to help them feel more comfortable using their sites.

Overall Results

Our change management strategy and project management team helped drive user adoption of the new SharePoint intranet site. Site owners are able to rely on the infographics, FAQ page, and training pages to help departments utilize the site to its full potential. Users appreciate the accessibility and usability that the new site provides.
